​This Forum was aimed at providing a platform to share and exchange knowledge and best practices relating to small business lending in the Chinese financial sector, and to promote communication, cooperation and collaboration between financial institutions, regulators, service/product providers and international financial institutions. As a result, it was hoped to advance the philosophy, systems and management of small business lending in the financial sector. 

Around 100 participants attended the forum, and 12 speakers from various large banks and financial institutions gave presentations on a variety of topics, including speakers from the China Banking Regulatory Commission, the Credit Reference Center of the People’s Bank of China, Minsheng Bank, Postal Savings Bank of China, and China Merchants Bank. The topics included: development of environment analysis and strategic plans for small business lending; a comparison between small business lending modules; and business process design for small business lending.

Mr. TAN BOON-TAT, Credit Risk Practice Director of CRIF China, gave a speech on CRIF’s approach to risk control in relation to SMEs. He not only presented CRIF and its products, but also gave his advice on SME credit, based on his 30 years’ work experience.
